Built-in timber · Klang Valley

Renovate the lines.

Not the room. We build one clean timber line along your wall. The columns, beams and ceiling drops go behind it, and so does your storage.

Drag to turn0 litres of storage

Every home here has the same three lines.

Malaysian homes are built with concrete columns and beams, and air-conditioning pipes run inside plaster ceiling drops. Most renovations work around them one cabinet at a time. Garis draws one line in front of all of them.

300 × 400 mm

The column

Sticks out of the wall in most condos. It ends up as an awkward corner nobody uses.

450 mm drop

The beam

Runs across the ceiling and cuts the room in two. Every cabinet stops at a different height under it.

400 mm bulkhead

The ceiling drop

Plaster boxed around aircon pipes. It never lines up with anything else in the room.

How it works

Start on your own with the free app. Bring us in when you want it built.

  1. Scan

Walk your room with an iPad Pro or iPhone Pro. The app measures the walls, windows, columns and beams.

  2. Play

Pick a wall. Drag the zones for TV, exercise or dining. Watch the line move and see how much storage you gain.

  3. Build

We measure on site to the millimetre, refine the design, and our carpentry partners build it in 18 mm plywood.

One idea, five shapes.

The wall wrap comes first in the app. The other shapes use the same rule: a straight line in front, everything uneven behind it.

Wall wrap In the app

A storage wall that swallows the column and stops under the beam.

Divider Later

Timber slats split a long room into zones without closing it off.

Platform Later

A raised timber floor with drawers below. Seating, sleeping, storage.

Room in a room Later

A timber box inside the room for a study, a guest bed or a prayer space.

Ceiling line Later

A timber band that runs under the beam so the ceiling reads as one height.

Concept 01 · The long living room

A design study, not a finished project. A 15 m living room that has to hold a TV area, an exercise corner and a dining table.

One wall, 15 metres, floor to ceiling. The column and the ceiling drop disappear inside it, and a square notch lets the beam pass through.
